The window for issuing visas under eVisa has been increased from 30 days to 120 days, which means that the applicant can travel to India within 120 days of the issue of eVisa. The duration of stay in India under eVisa has also been increased from existing 30 days to 60 days.
eVisa holders can enter India through three major ports of India: Cochin, Goa, and Mangalore. They are also allowed to enter through 24 airports of India: Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum and Varanasi.
Separate immigration counters and facilitation desks to assist medical tourists have been provided at Indian airports namely, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
Applicants are required to submit a scanned color copy of the first (biographical) page of their current passport and a recent passport-style color photo that meets the following requirements:

- Copy of Letter from the Hospital concerned in India on its letterhead

- Copy of Business Card
- The applicant’s face must be clearly visible
- The photograph must have a white background
- The photograph must be in focus
- The applicant’s head must be centered
- The photograph must show the applicant’s head from the crown to the tip of the chin
